How Do I Enable the Block Editor and Not the Classic Editor?

By default, the Block Editor (Gutenberg) should already be enabled in your WordPress. If the Classic Editor is still enabled on your site, there is a chance that you have the Classic Editor plugin installed and activated.

If you want to use the Block Editor, there are a few ways you can do this.

First, if you add a new page with the Classic Editor, you will see the Editor section on the right with the option to Switch to Block Editor. Just click on that, and the Block Editor will load.

Another option is if you navigate to the Classic Editor Settings by clicking Settings > Writing in your WordPress Dashboard. This will open the Writing Settings which provides you the option to choose a default editor for all users.

Alternatively, you can also deactivate the Classic Editor plugin in your Plugins page if your website doesn’t explicitly need it.
