Using Stackable’s Enhanced Color Picker

With the latest Version 3.12.0, Stackable’s color picker has been enhanced even further, introducing new features that provide more flexibility and control over your color choices.

What’s New?

1. Opacity Control

The Color Picker now includes an opacity control. You can now adjust the transparency of your selected colors within the color picker.

You can adjust the opacity level using the slider, allowing for precise control over how transparent or opaque your color selections are.

2. Gradient Color Picker

An exciting new addition is the Gradient Color Picker, which includes the following features.

First select the “Gradient” option above the color picker option, then open up the color picker.

  • Default Gradient Colors

You can choose from preset gradient colors in the color picker

  • Multiple Color Stops

This feature allows you to create complex gradient effects by selecting multiple colors at different points along the gradient.

Add multiple color stops by clicking on the (+) icon that appears when you hover over the color gradient. Clicking the (+) icon will open up the color picker.

Then click or drag the circle icon to adjust the color strength across the gradient.

  • Gradient Types

Choose from two gradient types: Linear and Radial.

Select Linear if you want the gradient to transition in a straight line from one hue to another.

Control the Angle of your gradient by dragging the dot inside the circle until you reach your desired direction, or typing in a value in the Angle field.

Select Radial if you want the gradient to radiate outwards from a central point.

  • Theme Gradient Colors

You can also access your theme’s gradient colors in the new enhanced color picker.

Backward Compatibility

Previously, you could use Global Colors within gradients. However, with this update, this is no longer supported in the enhanced color picker.

If you have used Global Colors in your gradients before the update, they will still work unless the gradient is edited.
