How to Use Global Preset Controls
Global Preset Sliders & Global Value Presets give you enhanced control over the font sizing and spacing of your website by using predefined design values in the theme.json
of your block theme . With these settings, you can maintain a cohesive and consistent design across all your Stackable blocks.
Using Preset Sliders
You can find Global Preset Sliders integrated into various Stackable block controls. These allow you to apply globally defined values using simple and intuitive sliders.
These sliders appear in controls such as:
- Font Size
- Margins
- Paddings
- Inner Block Gap
- Column Gap
- Row Gap
- Inner Column Spacing
These values are defined in your block theme and will now appear inside slider controls.
Additional controls currently using Stackable own preset values:
- Container Minimum Height
- Border Radius
You can simply slide between options like Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, or Extra Extra Large, all based on your global settings block theme. For spacing controls, you can slide between None, Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, Extra Extra Large, or Full.
Switching Between Preset and Custom Values
If you need more flexibility beyond the predefined options, you can toggle Custom Mode to enter your own spacing or sizing values manually. You can switch between Preset Mode and Custom Mode at any time, depending on what works best for your design.
Customizing Preset Control Settings
This is a premium feature
You can adjust the values of these preset values inside the Global Preset Controls panel inside the Stackable Settings, giving you the ability to fully customize and refine your design presets.
From there, you can pick to use the Default preset values as specified by your block theme or the Block Editor. Or you can choose to use your own Custom values.
Each custom spacing control includes the following:
- Slider — easily adjust the value visually for quick changes
- Numeric input field — enter exact values using any unit (
rem,
px, em, %
) - Remove button — to remove a preset size if not needed

Resetting to Default
If you want to revert any changes made to your Global Preset Control settings, you can use the Reset button on each section. This will instantly restore the values back to their default presets defined by your theme.
Enabling Global Preset Controls
When updating from a version prior to 3.16.0, Global Preset Controls is disabled by default in order to not disrupt people's workflows.
